Fairfax Futures Receives Grant from Wells Fargo

Fairfax Futures is excited to announce a $10,000 grant award from Wells Fargo.  Funding for this grant, Promoting Early Childhood Developmental Screeners to Support School Readiness, will be used to expand and promote the use of developmental and social-emotional screening tools among early childhood programs to best meet the needs of children before they enter kindergarten, improve academic outcomes, and narrow the achievement gap.  “Wells Fargo has been a steadfast supporter of Fairfax Futures’ work and we are thrilled to partner with them on this new initiative,” states Sallyann Bergh, executive director of Fairfax Futures.  The project will advance the county’s Equitable School Readiness Strategic Plan to help inform the provision of services for individual children and families.
