Fairfax Futures is participating in Giving Tuesday, a global movement of generosity, to spur our community to action. This year we are continuing to raise funds to purchase materials that Fairfax County residents need to pass their family child care permit inspections. The inspections are the last part of the permit process after applicants have completed all other requirements. Fairfax Futures partners with Fairfax County’s Community Education and Provider Services (CEPS) to provide kits to residents who have completed all steps, other than the two inspections. These kits include materials such as first aid supplies, carbon monoxide and fire alarm detectors, and safety items such as cabinet latches and outlet covers.
“A donation to help purchase a health and safety kit for a family child care program is an easy way to give back to your local community,” says Jeff Webster, Fairfax Futures Board Chair and SVP at PNC Bank. “Will you join us this Giving Tuesday as we seek ways to help lower the barriers to entry for these new business owners?”
For Giving Tuesday 2023, please consider donating to support our community’s early childhood educators. Your donation will ensure programs continue to serve children and families across northern Virginia.
Thank you for supporting our mission this year!
